Biography
Kaname Koshikawa is a founding partner of Koshikawa Law Office (previously Kaname Aoyama Law Office) based in Tokyo since September 2016. Prior to starting his own practice, Mr. Koshikawa worked at the Japan Legal Support Center (Houterasu). At the Houterasu, he dealt with cases of people who have insufficient money or those with difficulty accessing legal services because of their location. During his term, he entered into various fields of legal practice such as Family Law, Labor Law, Criminal Law and International Law.
After working at the Houterasu, Mr. Koshikawa established his own office named Kaname Aoyama Law Office (formerly the Koshikawa Law Office). At his own office, he focused on Criminal Defense and Foreign People’s legal problems.
After running the Kaname Aoyama Law Office, Mr. Koshikawa transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan for two years. During his term therein, he was in charge of the Investment of Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and the Official Development Assistance (ODA) Projects and Programs for Asia, Oceania, Central and South America, and Africa. At the Ministry, he contributed to the conclusion of the Japan-EU EPA and more than 100 ODA projects and programs around the world.
Mr. Koshikawa founded again his own office in December 2019. At the new office, he focuses on cases for foreigners staying or living in Japan. His hope, as a lawyer, is to solve the problems of his clients and make their life better.

Fees
- Legal Consultation
5,500 (inclusive of tax) yen per 30 minutes. - Attorney Fees and Costs
Our office generally operates on a time-charge rate of 22,000 (inclusive of tax) yen per hour.
+ Actual costs represented by stamps, copies, and transportation shall be included.
+ If a case needs a business trip, the daily cost thereof (in case of Tokyo, 11,000 yen [tax inclusive] per day) shall also be included.
